Detailed description

Tides Golf Club is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Seminole, Florida.

Tides Golf Club first opened for play in 1972. The course was designed by David Gill.

The golf course plays from 6,329 yards from the back tees to 5,449 yards from the forward tees. Although the course is not long by today's standards, its tree-lined fairways, and well-bunkered, elevated greens place a premium on accurate drives and precise approaches.

Bay breezes add to the challenge and enjoyment. The first and 10th tees are set on the highest ground on the property with spectacular views of the course, Boca Ciega Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Four holes - the second, 11th, 12th and 13th- border directly on Boca Ciega Bay.

The Tides Golf Club closed in 2018.

The Tides – Press Release

The Tides Golf Club – Seminole, Florida

In November of 2016, The Tides Golf Club was purchased from Wells Fargo with a desire for the club to continue operating as a public golf course. During the first 18 months under new ownership, the new owners replaced an aged golf cart fleet with brand new carts, installed new irrigation pumps, improved golf course views, and upgraded the fuel storage facility in an effort to improve the financial stability of the club. After enduring Hurricane Irma and the ensuing clean-up, the club has seen a continued decrease of activity. Due to the lack of support from the golfing community, the owners have made the decision to close operations effective July 1, 2018.
