Country Club at Silver Springs Shores first opened for play in 1969. The course was designed by Desmond Muirhead.

Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,917 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 4,633 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 18, a par-5 that plays to 585 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 8, a par-3 that plays to 170 yards from the back tees.

Throughout the years, The Country Club has played host to numerous prestigious events, both professional and amateur. The 2007 Masters Champion, Zach Johnson, holds the tournament course record, carding a 63 on his way to winning the Hooters Tour event in the fall of 2001. Ted Potter Jr. has a non-tournament course record of 61.
