Detailed description

Oaks National Golf Club, previously named Kissimmee Oaks Golf Club, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Kissimmee, Florida.

Oaks National first opened for play in 1986. The course was designed by Gary Player and Karl Litten.

Aesthetically the course is dominated by the century-old Oak Trees for which the course was named. The signature hole is #7, a 440-yard, par 4, with a dogleg left fairway and requiring a shot over water. The fairways are lined by very old oak trees and cypress trees. The fairways are open with many marsh and wetland areas. There are fourteen holes with water in play, including #12, a 199-yard, par 3, which requires a carry over water to reach the green. The prevalent water hazards create some very attractive scenery and force you to think about club selection and shot placement.

The relatively small greens and some tight corridors have led to the perception that the course is a very narrow layout. While there are some narrow shots requiring an accurate approach, the course is not overly tight and the houses on the course should not come into play.

Oaks National Golf Course measures 6,886 yards from the back tees. Par for the course is 72. The course rating is 73.7 and the slope rating is 131.
