Hawkstone Country Club

Hawkstone Country Club, previously named Haile Plantation Golf & Country Club, is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Gainesville, Florida, directly west of the University of Florida campus.

The course first opened for play in 1993. The course was designed by Gary Player.

Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,526 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 4,807 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 12, a par-5 that plays to 548 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 2, a par-3 that plays to 144 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 6, a 542-yard par-5 challenge, and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 14, a 336-yard par-4.

The fairways wind deliberately through a carefully preserved upland hammock spotted with such native species as live oaks, wild plum, and dogwood trees.

The course plays to a par of 72 and measures a maximum distance of 6,505 yards.
