Detailed description

Indian Hills Country Club is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Indian Hills Golf Course first opened for play in 1942. This course was designed by Herbert Strong. The City acquired the Course in 2002 and has been continually striving to improve both customer service and facilities conditions. In that spirit, the City retained Architect Ward Northrup to design an entirely new 18-hole layout on the existing grounds.

The new 6,555-yard layout has been well received by both long-time patrons and newcomers alike. This challenging, yet friendly new course features expansive tee surfaces, wide fairways, continuous concrete cart paths and Tif-eagle greens. 72 sand bunkers dot the landscape and add to the challenge for tee shots and approaches. In addition, Indian Hills offers a 320-yard practice range as well as a short game practice area and green.

Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,555 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 4,895 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 13, a par-5 that plays to 540 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 17, a par-3 that plays to 140 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 10, a 400-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Indian Hills is # 8, a 165 yard par-3.
