Detailed description

Traditions Golf Club is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Wallingford, Connecticut.

The Tradition Golf Club At Wallingford originally was known as Harbor Ridge Golf Course. The course first opened for play in 1981 as a 9 hole venue. The course was designed by Ted Manning. A back nine was added in 1999 to bring the course to a full 18-holes. Wetlands come into play on four of the new nine holes. Also new is an island green on hole #12, a 167-yard, par 3, which has a slightly elevated tee. Alfred H. Tull designed the back nine.

Roger Rulewich, former chief architect for Robert Trent Jones, Sr., renovated The Tradition at Wallingford. He sought to make the course more playable while preserving the course's reputation with shotmakers. Rulewich pleased shotmakers and casual players alike by resculpting the greens, widening the fairways, rough, and tree-lined areas, and adding a continuous cart path.

The Tradition Golf Club At Wallingford was rated by a local publication as the 3rd most difficult course in the state.

The Tradition Golf Club is a par-70 course that plays to 6,078 yards for a par course rating of 70.1 and a slope rating of 124.
