Blackhawk Country Club is a Private, 36 hole golf facility located in Danville, California. The facility has two 18-hole golf courses. They are, The Falls Course and The lakeside Course.
In the early 1900's the lush rolling foothill expanse of Mt. Diablo became known as Blackhawk Ranch, where thoroughbreds graced the land for decades. Years later, this natural splendor inspired a vision of luxury living, and in 1979, a new Blackhawk was born.
Today, as you enter the peaceful world of Blackhawk Country Club, you will drive past lush landscaping and luxurious homes to two magnificent golf courses and clubhouses: the Lakeside and the Falls, surrounded by acres of stunning open space.
Blackhawk Country Club membership is limited and by invitation only.
The Falls Course opened for play in 1986. The course was designed by Ted Robinson. The Falls Course has five lakes and its namesake waterfall is the backdrop to the 11th green.
The Falls Course is a par-72 course that plays to a maximum of 6,738 yards. The course rating is 72.5 and the slope rating is 134.

You have to be a guest of a member to play. I used to be a member and was invited back for a tournament. The greens were the best I've ever seen them and some of the best greens I've ever putted on. the course was in phenomenal shape. It is a fun layout, with enough difficulty to be challengeing but not so difficult that every shot is an absolute grind. If you get a chance play this course, even over the Lakeside, which is a little too tricked up for my taste.
