Northriver Yacht Club, Northriver Golf Course

Northriver Yacht Club is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on the banks of beautiful Lake Tuscaloosa.

The golf course at Northriver Yacht Club first opened for play in 1978. The course was designed by Gary Player and Ron Kirby. In 1999, internationally renowned golf course architect Bob Cupp redesigned the course adding bent-grass greens and modernizing the bunkering. Throughout every facet of this project, care was taken to preserve the integrity of the original Player / Kirby design.

The front nine is more of a links style design than the back nine. The back nine is very hilly with undulating greens. Water hazards come into play on six holes.
