The original 18 holes at Evergreen Golf Club opened for play in 1973. the course was designed by Ken Killian and Dick Nugent.
That first course was developed on 150 acres of what had been a dairy farm. The original clubhouse had previously been a restaurant. The original 18 consisted of the 9 holes of the South Course; the 1st and 9th of what is now the East Course; along with holes No. 1 through 5 and 8 and 9 on the North Course.
In 1993, the Evergreen Golf Club East Course was added to create the current 27-hole facility. The East Course opened for play on July 1, 1994, on 110 acres of the former Hartwell farm. The 9-hole addition, designed by Gary Welsh, consisted of the current holes No. 2 through 8 on the East and Nos. 6 and 7 on the North.

OMG...every chance I get to review this course I will...so no one else wastes a minute of their lives here to chased around by marshals and rude staff in the proshop. If you like playing with houses and lawns on every inch of the course then this is the place for you. This place is your standard back and forth course that treats guest with disrespect every chance they get...their army of retired senior starters are the best with walkie talkies and big markers to change what 9 you're playing like they control everything. I once had a marshal follow me for three holes and I was in a twosome....give me a break...Go to Geneva national or Hawks view for a treat to be treated right. These people need to get a life and close this place down...they only care about the bottom like and pushing people through the course. Just read their scorecard and when they talk about bringing beverages on the course you will be kicked out. It's funny just to read some of the things they put on the card. Then there's their golf site that won't even allow input unless it's to tell them they have a great fish fry. They even took themselves off of Golfnow because they couldn't make enough money as they won't discount their golf. I had a gift certificut and I threw it out rather than use it and let them steal my time. Again don't play here unless you live on the course in one of the 100 houses.

$5 green fee (9) and $5 cart made this a deal today and also back on May 5. THANKS! OB for people's back yards make it a little tight in places. Had to take a penalty on a par 3 because I was just right of the cart path 1 foot into the corner of someone's yard FAR from their house. Guess I should have hit the green instead. :)

Played all three nines. Lots of "dog leg" holes. Great greens and fairways.
