Ryder Brook Golf Course, previously named Farms Resort Golf Club, is a Resort, 9 hole golf course located in Morrisville, Vermont, between Mt. Mansfield, Vermont's highest peak, and the rolling Worcester range.
The course was designed by Geoffrey Cornish. The course opened for play in 1971 with 18 holes. The course was reduced to the current 9-hole regulation course in 1978.
The course was built on rolling terrain, so you can expect some uneven lies in the fairways.
Although low intimidation is a course focus, the layout does offer some challenges.
Length is one. The 9-hole, par-36, 3,000-yard course features three par-5s and plenty of uphill shots. It is one of the longest par-3 courses in Vermont.
Water is another challenge. Several ponds and brooks come into play. The tee shot on hole No. 9 (or 18) must carry a pond and pump house to get to the fairway.
