A championship caliber course, the Golf Club at Thanksgiving Point is 7,714 yards long and covers more than 200 acres, making it the largest golf club in the state.

Ranked in the top ten new courses in the country by Golf Digest in 1997. Thanksgiving Point was also named the number one public golf club in Utah by Golf Digest and one of fifteen "hidden gems" in the country by Links Magazine.

This Johnny Miller Signature Golf Club cradles the most spectacular gardens in Utah, and creatively uses the natural mountain desert landscape to enhance the overall golf experience.

* Home to the Annual Champions Challenge

* A Johnny Miller Signature Golf Club

* Beautiful 22,000 sq. foot Club House

We golfed right after the greens were aerified. Greens were still sandy but we were told that when we made our tee time. Challenging course but very beautiful. I didn't feel there were enough yardage markers on the front. Very few sprinkler heads were labeled. Would definitely golf it again if I got a chance.

Thanksgiving Point provides a near Country Club experience at a public golf course price, although slightly more expensive than other public courses in the area. Let's face it - Utah boasts some excellent golf venues for modest prices compared to many other parts of the Country. This course is fun, long (but with 5 tee choices you can play from 6100 - 7700 yds so take your pick), and very playable, while still offering plenty of challenge. Johnny, you got a little crazy with the greens, but they are defintely not boring.

Would travel: 60-120 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Ranks with the best in this price level, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing

Very long (7714 yards) but plays shorter due to altitude (approximately) 4200 feet. Fansastic greens; very big and much undulation.

Thanksgiving Point is expensive. The course favors the long ball hitter for sure, if they can keep it in the fairway. The course is very nicely laid out. Beautiful holes and view of the mountains above you to the east.

Greens need a lot of work, very bumpy and they appear to have some kind of fungus. It is a difficult course, specially when it is windy.

Would travel: 10-20 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again

It is a shame such a nice golf layout lets it's greens be overtaken by poa annua. Furthermore, the greens would be far better if rolled and cut shorter to increase speed and take out some of the bumps.

Great local course. Well worth the visit. The course has some fairly long holes, decent terrain change and great views of the Wasatch Mountains. Johnny Miller hosts his Champions Challenge here every year bringing in notable golfers and one of their sons/daughters who team up as a duo against other golfers and their son/daughter. This is a course with great value.
