Luna Vista Golf Course, previously named L.B. Houston Municipal Golf Course, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Dallas, Texas.
The course first opened for play in 1969 and was designed by Leon Howard and Dave Bennett.

All of the fairways and green complexes were reshaped and several sand bunkers were added. The golf course sits on a rolling landsape with a variety of trees, including magnolia, sweet gum, and maple and the Dallas skyline in the background. Water hazards come into play on a number of holes.

This course is in better shape than any municipal course I have played in 2 to 3 years. The gun range located nearby is distracting at first, but then you tend to not notice it after 2 or 3 holes. The course is well manicured and the greens are in great shape. Just enough trouble on every hole. Nice to be able to take a divot without hitting black clay that is so prevalent in the dallas area. The sand traps are fair and in good condition.

It's a good practice course in my opinion. Cheap, well you get what you pay for here and since you can walk, pace is slow!!!!!
