The Longue Vue Club golf course first opened for play in 1920. The course was designed by Robert White.
The Longue Vue Club golf course enjoys the reputation as being challenging, yet fair, with no two holes being similar. Punctuating the golfer's experience on this superbly conditioned course are sweeping vista views of the Allegheny River Valley, colorful flower beds, and numerous species trees of every size.
This tight course has fast greens which are fairly sloped. All the holes are well bunkered, and the fairways are narrow and lined by a thick cut of rough. Water hazards come into play on five holes.
Par for the course is 70. From the back tees the course plays to 6689 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5550 yards and plays to a par of 72.. The longest hole on the course is # 4, a par-5 that plays to 553 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 10, a par-3 that plays to 171 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 17, a 434 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Longue Vue Club is # 7, a 323 yard par-4.

From the back tees, Longue Vue is one of the finest tests of golf in western PA. The course is in impeccable shape, and requires all shots. The clubhouse is the most beautiful in all of Pennsylvania. And there is a good caddy program.
