The Holdrege Country Club golf course first opened for play in 1943. Jeff Brauer designed the back nine, which was added in 1985.
The Holdrege Country Club golf course's front and back nines represent two different styles of design. The front nine has water hazards coming into play on seven holes, plus a lot of sand bunkers. The front nine fairways are tree lined. The back nine is a links-type design with large greens and open fairways. However, water only comes into play on two holes.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6303 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5360 yards. The course rating is 70.1 and it has a slope rating of 122 . The longest hole on the course is # 17, a par-5 that plays to 555 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 3, a par-3 that plays to 175 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 7, a 423 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 10, a 334 yard par-4.

The front nine is very tight with water on 7 of the 9 holes. The back 9 is a more wide open links style course. Two courses for the price of one!
