Meadowbrook hosted the United States Public Golf Championship in 1947.
Completely renovated in 1995, Meadowbrook Golf Course has gentle rolling hills, old growth tree-lined fairways, strategically placed bunkers, over a dozen water hazards, and multiple tees to challenge players of all skill levels. Historic Minnehaha Creek winds throughout the golf course, adding natural beauty to this outstanding golf facility.
The course plays to a par-72 and maximum distance of 6,557 yards.

The June 2014 floods did extensive damage to both Hiawatha and Meadowbrook Golf Course. Both courses will need millions of dollars in rennovation. City officials plan to rebuild the courses but admit that the courses will not reopen until at least 2017.
