Country Club Of Jackson is a Private, 27 hole golf facility located in Jackson, Michigan. Supervisors' Country Club has three 9-hole golf courses. These courses can be combined in pairs to form three different 18 hole course challenges. The nine-hole courses are The Pines Course, The Marsh Course, and The Woods Course.
The club originally had eighteen holes, made up of the Woods Course and the Pines Course, The Marsh Course was added in 1991. Members play the original eighteen holes more frequently. The Marsh Course gave the club some holes with water in play. The old courses are mostly flat, while the new course has hills, ditches and elevated tees and greens. All twenty-seven holes have tree-lined fairways.
Jackson's roots date to 1898 when Clara Carter, who learned to play golf while attending an eastern college, laid out nine holes near Vandercook Lake, east of the present CCJ site. That club was called Meadow Heights and eventually its members sold the land and bought two land grant farms on Horton Road.
Arthur Ham, who had worked as a field superintendent for Donald Ross, laid out 18 holes that opened for play in 1926. The course has stood the test of time, nothing fancy, no tricks, no island greens, forced carries or cross hazards, everything laid in front of you with the holes bordered by a variety of splendid mature trees, giant oaks, evergreens, pines and firs.
The Marsh Nine was designed by Arthur Hills and opened for play in 1991.

What a great day to play at "The Club" and conditions to match. Tight mowed fairways, 3" rough, fast rolling greens and sand like baby power all the things golfing dreams are made of. Played the "Pines"( 3,404yds) and "Woods" (3,359yds) in 3.5hrs which are the original 18 holes with the established trees placed where "Strays do Pay" in adding strokes to your score. Shot 45/45 w/ 39putts as I was having trouble with red pin placements and trying to stay below the hole on hard fast greens, rolling to a 10 today. Son Jeremy had 91/36putts but two (2) nice birdies and Son-in-law Joe B taking honors with 86/31putts as he knows the course on a daily basis. With no houses on the course, mature trees well placed, conditions top notch, you're only complaint is about your game and not the course. (I still have a lot to work on, but still smiling) Must play here if you ever get into the Jackson County area.

What can I say other than its a "Real" Country Club in a golfing town. Conditions are always the best and greens the size of of a 3 bedroom ranch house. Little expensive @ $80 but you get the real CC treatment, and that's worth it. Great landing areas and the rough is deep if a tourament is in the near future. Fast holding greens that are always rolled and true. Always look forward to a invite to play.
