Rose Golf Course first opened for play in 1994. The course was designed by Steve McQuestion.
The course was carved out of the North Michigan woods. The layout has hills and undulation. You get a sense that you are alone on the course as each hole is isolated from the others.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,216 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 4,239 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 4, a par-5 that plays to 494 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 10, a par-3 that plays to 138 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 18, a 370-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at The Rose Golf Course is # 5, a 145 yard par-3.
The course closed in April 2017.
