Cimarron Valley Golf Club was built on a pasture land with natural hills. The fairways are wide open, and the greens are fast and medium-sized. The land for the course was donated by Lou and Ethel Ungles. The course was built with many hours of donated labor.

The longest hole on the course is # 1, a par-5 that plays to 560 Yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 8, a par-3 that plays to 165 yards from the back tees. There is an additional set of men's tees that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round.
