University Of Notre Dame Golf Course is a Public, 9 hole golf course located in South Bend, Indiana.
Designed as a standard 18-hole course in 1929, the Notre Dame Golf Course today consists of nine holes in the picturesque campus setting.. Open to the public, and appropriately discounted for students, the course sits on the southwest corner of campus, giving players scenic views of the Golden Dome and Basilica.
When four new residence halls, a bookstore, and visitors’ center—the West Quad—were added in 1995, the golf course was halved to make way for those improvements. The construction also led to the reconfiguration of the roadway linking the south and west parts of campus.
The course is predominately flat course and easy to walk. All the fairways are defined by a standard cut of rough, and many are bordered by trees. Numerous sand bunkers protect the fairways and greens, so shot accuracy is essential.
