St. Andrews Golf & Country Club is a Public, 36 hole golf facility located in West Chicago, Illinois. The facility has two regulation eighteen hole courses. The St. Andrews Course and The Joe Jemsek Course (formerly The Lakewood Course).
The St. Andrews course, was designed and built in 1926 by John McGregor of the Chicago Golf Club.
The course will test your game without testing your patience. This course offers a flat terrain as well as large contoured greens and showcases a par 4 finishing hole with a menacing water hazard running along the fairway on the right side. Players at all levels will be challenged by the difficult par 3's and par 4's throughout the course. Especially the challenging 2nd hole, a long par 4, measuring 448 yards, and surrounded by large greenside bunkers.
Measuring 6,920 yards from the championship tees, this course challenges the golfer to select calculated shots to master the strategically placed sand bunkers and trees that line the tighter dog legs.
Architects Joe Lee and Rockey Roqemore of Atlanta have made modifications to St. Andrews over the years to modernize the course to today's standards, but the integrity of the original design still stands.

A good and challenging course. Different from the Joe Jemsek course- a bit more open and wider fairways. The greens are very large and quick. A great value and play moved quickly. Fairways were in decent shape given lots of rain and hot weather, better than mose I have played recently in the area. Some players not fixing ball marks, a minor issue. New GPS on carts was a help.

A great course for twilight bargain seekers. I play here often since it's a decent course for pretty cheap. $22 after 3pm and I've never had a problem getting in 18. Course is a little worn from year-round use but still plays fair most of the time.

Greens showed the wear and tear of a season of heavy play (one temporary green was utilized). Bunkers need to be refurbished (several were washed out). Fairways and tees were in very good condition. Surprisingly, the green fee was quite a bit higher than other regional courses of similar caliber.
