The course was designed by William J. Spear. Prairie View first opened for play in 1992.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 7,117 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,269 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 15, a par-5 that plays to 559 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 13, a par-3 that plays to 192 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 6, a 550 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Prairie View is # 13, a 192 yard par-3.
This very scenic course overlooks the prairie and river. The terrain is rolling and the fairways vary in width. Six holes were carved out of the woods. The course design takes advantage of a natural, rolling terrain, while the large and undulating greens are rigorously maintained to ensure smooth putting consistency.

This is the best deal in the state. If you are local, I would highly recommend getting a season pass. Every year they add something new and better to the course. By far the best course in the area.
