Kelly Plantation, is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Destin, Florida.
Nestled along Choctawhatchee Bay in Destin, Florida, the 18-hole Kelly Plantation Golf Club was the former site of a turpentine plantation owned by Mattie and Coleman Kelly. Designers, Fred Couples and Gene Bates, fashioned a championship golf course from the intrinsic beauty of this land with miles of waterfront, bayous and mature trees. Kelly Plantation's layout features large contoured greens, high definition hazards, and picturesque views.
Kelly Plantation Golf Course first opened for play in 1998. It has been consistently rated 4 1/2 stars by Golf Digest.
The golf course conditions at Kelly Plantation are maintained to high standards with manicured fairways, Bermuda greens, and well maintained bunkers. Kelly Plantation offers four sets of tees. The forward tees offer a fun and enjoyable experience for novice golfers, while the championships tees, boasting over 7,000 yards, provides more of a challenge to the experienced golfer.
Along with outstanding course conditions and layout, Kelly Plantation offers exclusive amenities and outstanding service. From the welcome greeting at the bag drop, to the chilled apples on the first tee, to the iced scented towels delivered to you on the course during warm weather days, a day a Kelly Plantation is special.

I played Kelly Plantation in the winter when the fairways were still green and the roughs were brown. The visual effect was stunning. Didn't help my score but I enjoyed the course immensely. I am putting together a golf outing for about 30 people and Kelly Plantation is definitely one of the four courses that will be on the menu.

Perhaps the best design by Fred Couples. Great vacation destination. Be sure and ask for a discount on green fees, which they offer and gave to us, which really makes this terrific course an outstanding vacation value.

Challenging but fun. Greens had been plugged for a few days and hadn't grown back in yet.
