Norwich Golf Club is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Norwich, Connecticut.
The present day Norwich Golf Club golf course first opened for play on July 4, 1925. The course was most likely designed by Walter J. Travis. There has been a lot of speculation that the course was designed by Donald Ross. While many characteristics of the course are similar to Donald Ross designs there is no evidence that he participated in the design of the course.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 6,228 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,040 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 14, a par-5 that plays to 560 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 13, a par-3 that plays to 110 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 4, a 410 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Norwich Golf Club is # 13, the 110 yard par-3.
