Pelican Lakes Golf & Country Club, Lakes Course, first opened for play in 1999. Ted Robinson, Sr. designed Pelican Lakes with the Poudre River as the centerpiece. Golfers cross the winding river four times as they negotiate the 18 holes.
With more than 300 surface acres of water surrounding the links and dozens of mature trees along the fairways, golfers will be challenged by this spectacular stadium-style championship course. Elevated tees and greens provide stunning views of the beautiful landscape and the lakes that divide the fairways from the surrounding residents. A driving range, putting green, and practive chipping green complete with sand trap, round out the course's golf amenities.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 7129 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5266 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 2, a par-5 that plays to 566 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 9, a par-3 that plays to 200 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 2, a 566 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 1, a 411 yard par-4.

We have played Pelican Lakes, the 18 hole course, but the reason we come up from Centennial, south of Denver, is to play the 9 hole course, Pelican Falls. We love this course. It is our favorite in the state, even though it is extremely expensive at $47 per golfer. The Falls is in terrific condition, has several elevated tees, a wide variety of holes and is simply a joy to play because it is so beautiful. And I haven't even mentioned the beautiful water fall running down the middle of the course. Lastly it ends work an island green par three. We rarely pay so much to play, but make the trip from Denver at least once a year because this course is so much fun to play.

This is a very difficult course. Lots of water on nearly every hole. Very well taken care of. Very challenging and rewarding with good shot selection. I would recommend this couse to anyone at any level. Very nice Bar and Grill, good selection of food.

I used a coupon, course is expensive otherwise but in great shape. semi-private but without the snotty attitude you usually encounter as a non-member. Friendly people. The best course in Northern Colorado by far.
