Lake Almanor West is a 615 acre community located on the west shore of scenic Lake Almanor, adjacent to California State Highway 89 a few miles southwest of the town of Chester. In addition to the approximately 700 residential lots, the development includes the 9 hole Lake Almanor West Golf Course. This course offers greens that are fast, undulating and difficult to read. There are many trees and rocks lining the fairways. This course provides great scenic view of Mount Lassen.
Par for the course is 36. From the back tees the course plays to 3105 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 2684 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 1, a par-5 that plays to 489 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 3, a par-3 that plays to 137 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 8, a 440 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Lake Almanor West Golf Course is # 9, a 323 yard par-4.
