Detailed description

True Blue Golf Club, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Pawley's Island, South Carolina.

The True Blue Golf Club first opened for play in 1998. The course was designed by Mike Strantz.

True Blue Golf Plantation has a well deserved reputation as one of the hardest golf course in the Myrtle Beach area. The first four and last four holes are some of the toughest in the areas, though in between there's a small respite from the beating True Blue is capable of handing even the seasoned golfer. Ultimately, True Blue is a solid option for mid to low handicappers on a Myrtle Beach golf trip. The course was built upon the site of a working rice and indigo plantations, and is one of the most expensive and top rated courses in the area. It's across the street from The Caledonia, and its entrance is lined with old live oaks as you drive up to the old south styled clubhouse. The course has been nicknamed "Heaven and Hell," and with good reason, the course has massive waste areas, scattered mounds, contoured greens, making for a long day if you're off line.

The True Blue Golf Club has generous fairways full of contours, mounds, humps, and hallows. The greens large, some elevated, some with false fronts. Even if you're on the green, consider a two putt a good thing.

The True Blue Golf Club has been named one of "America"s 100 Greatest Public Courses" by Golf Digest and ranked in the top 10 of Golf Digest"s "Top 50 Courses in Myrtle Beach."

Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 7,126 yards. From the foward tees the course plays to 4,995 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 1, a par-5 that plays to 624 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 14, a par-3 that plays to 158 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 1, the 624 yard par-5 challenge is the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at True Blue is # 11, a 184 yard par-3.
