Detailed description

Hickory Hills Country Club is a public 27-hole golf facility located in, Hickory Hills, Illinois. The Hickory Hills Golf Club has a North Course, which is a 9 hole executive course and a South Course, which is an 18 hole championship golf course. These courses were built on rolling terrain that can be strenuous to walk. Even though the fairways are lined with trees, they still afford generous landing areas.

The South Course __________

The 18-hole South Course at the Hickory Hills Country Club opened for play in 1915. The course was designed by James Foulis.

The layout has many elevated greens, tees, and sometimes both on the same hole. There are only 4 sand traps on the whole course, the 3rd, 5th, 15th, and 17th holes. There is a charm to this old traditional course, with tree lined faiways on almost every hole. Sometimes shooting up, sometimes shooting down. A slice will catch the sides of the fairways and spin into the woods. Play a nice draw and you will be ok. Most fairways allow you to grip it and rip it. Stay out of the 4 bunkers and you have a chance for a great day.

The North Course __________

The North Course at the Hickory Hills Country Club opened for play in 1954. The course was designed by William B. Langford.

The North Course measures a maximum 9-hole distance of 1,564 yards and plays to a par-30. The layout has 6 par-3 holes and 3 par-4 holes.
