Detailed description

Arizona National Golf Club is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Tucson, Arizona.

Formerly named The Raven Club at Sabino Springs, Arizona National Golf Club first opened for play in 1996. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. This par-71 course is home to the University's Men's and Women's Wildcat Golf Teams.

The golf course is nestled in the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains adjacent to the Coronado National Forest. It encompasses mesquite-lined arroyos, wide desert washes, stark outcroppings of rock, and nine natural springs. The vibrant green grass of the fairways marks a striking contrast to the colors of the desert.

#2 plays 575 yards, requires a tee shot over a water hazard. The approach-whether on the second or fourth shot must avoid a wash filled with sagebrush, cholla, and ancient saguaros.

#12 is a 187-yard par three is a reminder of Arizona's history. The green on #12 was once home to a Hohokam Indian dwelling. The small pond near the tee boxes served as a watering hole for the tribe's livestock. Integrating these sites was a priority of the golf course design.

#18 requires a big decision for big hitters. From a tee box elevated 200 feet above the fairway, this 513-yarder can be reached in two. But if your ball goes left you will find the lake and a higher score. Will you go for it, or play it safe?
