Prospect Bay Country Club first opened for play in 1980. The course was designed by Lindsay B. Ervin.

Prospect Bay iis located on the eastern shore of Maryland, about five minutes from the bay. The course boasts two very distinct nine holes of golf. The front nine is open and offers a view of the bay, while the back nine is tree-lined. The greens are elevated, and mounds are located in the fairways. The golf course is well manicured with fast greens, spacious fairways, and a true test for golfers of all abilities. The signature hole is #18, a 533-yard, par 5, requiring a shot over water with the signature lighthouse in the background.
