We had a 12:33 tee time and arrived around 11:40 (no traffic). We checked in with the starter and noticed there was no one on the first tee box. He said there was "a small outing ahead and he wanted to give them enough of a head start since they were a little slow." We knew we were early anyway, so we chatted with him for several minutes. I asked if there were any groups ahead of us and he said no and that he'd let us go in a couple minutes. Now it's 12:05 and still no one is teeing off or waiting behind us (a twosome). We ask again and he said he had to wait for the ok from the pro shop before he can send anyone off and reminds us that our tee time is 12:33. So after waiting at an empty 1st tee box for 40 minutes, he lets us go. By this time, the two groups behind us have arrived and he sends them out on our heels. Of course, the "small outing" is no where in sight. Now we are fairly good golfers and move through the course at a decent pace, but the two groups behind us are pushing us on every shot since they were sent out too quickly. Now the real kicker - the ranger comes by and tells us we have to pick up the pace because we're way behind the group ahead of us! I hope he didn't have too much trouble extricating my nine iron from his forehead. We wouldn't mind playing the course again if they would notify us that they hired a starter and a ranger with a little common sense.

Price: I got a deal of $20 for 18 after 4 because they aerated the fairways. I think regular price is in the $60-70 range, which is too much in my opinion. But to be expected at a resort course. Pros: The course was in very good condition considering it's the middle of April, thanks to a mild winter/spring. Greens were pretty tough and fair, distance was about average (though the 595yd Par 5 is looong). Staff was also friendly. Cons: The downsides were the many encounters with tee shots flirting with houses and busy streets surrounding the property. You can tell they had to pack it in to make it 18, and I found myself bailing out a lot just to make sure I didn't cause any damage. I was almost hit by an errant shot as well, so it wasn't just me.
